Services also included work performed at customer's homes, enclosed transport and work related thereto. As the workload increased, so did the need for space to house projects and parts related to those projects. The operation was moved to a larger private garage, thus expanding the business and increasing productivity and revenue. As the scale of the business continued to grow, Paul Rose formed an LLC partnership with John K. Bassler on June 22, 2001. While still a part-time business, Vintage Motorcar Company, LLC continued to grow. VMC's growth brought about the demand for more work space. VMC built an addition the existing garage in order to perform additional services. The need for more equipment became evident and VMC began investing in/purchasing the necessary equipment required to run more efficiently and to better perform vital services. With an ever-increasing workload, Paul Rose and John Bassler realized their working full-time jobs in auto restoration for another individual and continuing to work for VMC was conflicting. They made the decision to once again expand when Paul Rose left his full-time job to become VMC's first full-time employee in September 2001. With a full-time dedicated employee, VMC's business again grew and lead-time for customer projects became extended. In January of 2002, a mere five months later, John Bassler left his other full-time job to become VMC's second full-time employee. Paul and John worked in the Summit Point, WV facility and toward the middle of 2002 hired a part-time employee. With multiple projects, long lead-times and tight work space Paul and John began to look for a larger facility. Finding the rental property in Harpers Ferry, WV in February 2003, VMC signed a lease and began work on the rental building to make the necessary upgrades (predominately electrical) needed to operate the restoration business. Work on the rental facility was completed in April 2003 and VMC moved. At that time three (3) additional full-time employees were hired for a total of five (5) full-time employees and one (1) part-time employee. Vintage Motorcar Company LLC continues to reside at the Harpers Ferry, WV location and again needs to expand. Customer base and the demand for services have increased to the point that the current six employees are simply unable to keep up with the incoming jobs/new business. VMC is again experiencing the extended lead-times indicative of the opportunity to grow. The proposed expansion will allow VMC to much more needed personnel. The antique automobile hobby has grown from an obscure interest to an international business opportunity. The number of antique vehicles requiring service and repair to frame up restorations is staggering. The interest in this hobby is phenomenal and continues to grow at an overwhelming pace. With each passing year an entire new set of antique vehicles becomes eligible to be called a classic. The market share is untold; partly due to the fact the number of antique autos and owners requiring services to those autos far outweighs the business and organizations available to properly perform the needed services. Vintage Motorcar Company LLC has established itself and earned a reputation as a well thought-of and knowledgeable business. VMC prides itself on its fine work and reputation in the restoration field and works diligently to uphold that status. All work performed is to the customer's satisfaction and is guaranteed quality. Paul Rose and John Bassler personally oversee every aspect of every project to insure quality repairs and/or restoration. |
